Depending on the insert type used, a complete L110 coupling assembly is capable of optimal operation with an angular misalignment from 0.5 to 1.0 degrees and a parallel misalignment of 0.10″ to 0.15″. This advantage is due to the greater radial softness. Additionally, L110 couplings utilize a no metal-on-metal design (excluding bronze inserts), drastically improving their wear life compared to other coupling types.
