Our 80B8 sprocket is a high-quality precision industrial power transmission component made from premium C1045 steel with hardened teeth (80B8H) and a black oxide coating. The 8 precision-machined teeth on this 80B8H sprocket are designed to mate perfectly with ANSI 80 roller chains while improving overall performance and wear life. At the same time, the base material of our 80B8 sprocket is 1045-carbon steel, which provides higher tensile strength, Brinell hardness, and yield strength compared to the standard 1018 steel used by other brands. Additionally, each tooth is hardened to perfection, improving wear life and torque capabilities. Finally, this sprocket undergoes specific black oxide coating processes to protect it in mildly corrosive environments, such as outdoor or humid applications. More specific to this sprocket itself, it is 3.010″ in diameter (O.D.) and is a b-hub configuration (hub on one side), and is supplied with a plain stock bore. Stock bore b-hub sprockets can be bored to specific shaft sizes and typically include a key-way and two set screws for drive applications or utilize a bearing type for idler applications.
